I had similar feelings with Hesse's "Demian" and Bronte's "Wuthering Heights" but Dracula really possessed me with The QUESTION Of DEATH. How can the Christian Light destroy the Night? Edred Thorsson, in my Opinion, is dæ Main Authority on Modern Rune Magic. As Stephen Flowers he received his Ph.D. in Germanic Languages and Medieval Studies in 1984 with æ dissertation entitled "Runes and Magic: Magical Formulaic Elements in the Elder Tradition".

AAk found this Book one of Thorsson’s more “Poetic” Books. Maybe because it deals with da Younger Futhark which was da Futhark that Thorsson was first inspired with until he focused on dæ Elder Futhark & later da “Left Hand Path”.

THE TEUTONS TODAY

From ancient times the Teutons have been known as a group of people who speak the Germanic group of languages. Some prefer the term "Teutonic" over "Germanic" to avoid the confusion between the words "Germanic" and "German." But in reality the terms "Teutonic" and "German" mean the same thing. The "Gothic" has even been applied to the whole of the Germanic realm, although this too originally referred to only one branch of the Germanic family. Today any of these three terms, Germanic, Teutonic, or Gothic, may refer to the overall tradition of this original group.

The (p.1) English, German, Dutch, Icelandic, Danish, Norwegians, and Swedish peoples are all directly descended from this ancient Germanic cultural stock. It is also important so realize that they left their indelible mark on the cultures of the French, Spanish, and Italian nations, as they founded the first true states in those lands after the fall of the Roman Empire.

The Ostrogoths and Longobards (in Lombardy, northern Italy) founded early medieval kingdoms in Italy. The Visigoths formed kingdoms in southern France and in Spain. There was also on early Swabian kingdom in Spain. The region in southern Spain known as Andalusia is derived from the name of the Germanic people who set up medieval kingdom there, the Vandals. (The original name was Vandalusia.) The Franks eventually settled in what is now northern France and it is from the name of this tribe that the name of the country is derived. In all of these instances the Germanic tribes gave a sense of national identity to the regions in question after the destruction of the Roman Empire.

The Teutons not only had a tradition of religion and mythology unique to themselves, although closely related to their other Indo-European, brethren (Celts, Slavs, Romans, Greeks, Persians, and Indians), bot they also had a unique magical system which has survived in various forms most notably rune magic. The Beatles might have hailed from Liverpool, but the band that changed the world got its big break in Hamburg. David Sharp traces the steps of the Fab Four fifty years later.

When John Lennon was once asked what it was like growing up in Liverpool, he quipped: "I didn't grow up in Liverpool. I grew up in Hamburg."

That’s because though The Beatles formed in Liverpool, they learned their licks in the backstreet clubs of the gritty northern German port city.

When the Beatles rolled into the shabby dockland neighbourhood of St Pauli in a small van early in the morning of August 17, 1960, Hamburg’s post-war resurgence was just beginning.
That same night, the then Fab Five of John Lennon, Paul McCartney, George Harrison, Pete Best and Stuart Sutcliffe, a raggle-taggle gang of leather-jacketed, pompadoured Scousers played their first gig at the Indra, a self-styled ‘music and vaudeville’ club. This tiny venue, at Große Freiheit 64, is still going strong today.
Fuelled by a heady mix of youthful enthusiasm, raw talent and Preludin pills, the nascent Beatles hurtled through an eclectic assortment of rock, pop, and R & B covers at high volume and breakneck speed. The boys bunked in a windowless cell behind the screen of a local cinema, the now defunct Bambi Kino, at nearby Paul-Roosen Strasse 33.
After two months of incessant gigging at the Indra, five hours a night for 30 marks each, owner Bruno Koschmider promoted The Beatles to his flagship club, the Kaiserkeller, a short stroll down Große Freiheit towards the neon lights of the Reeperbahn.
The band shared the bill with rival Liverpool group, Rory Storm & the Hurricanes, whose drummer happened to be Ringo Starr. ...

A broken bottle’s throw away is the site of the Star Club (Große Freiheit 39), where The Beatles shared the bill with fellow Liverpudlians Gerry & the Pacemakers and big-name US acts like Jerry Lee Lewis and Little Richard. It went up in smoke in 1983 and only a gravestone-shaped plaque remains etched with the names of other Star Club legends such as Gene Vincent and Jimi Hendrix.

Prior to their stint at the famous Star Club the fledgling Beatles had graduated, in the words of McCartney to “the big club where we aspired to go,” The Top Ten, situated in a basement in the heart of the Reeperbahn (#136). Formerly the Hippodrome, a subterranean circus, today a disco, it was here the band really found their feet with an echo-laden, reverb-friendly sound system, perfect for The Beatles’ raucous performances, and slightly less dingy sleeping arrangements, in an attic above the club itself.

Round the corner is Paul Hundertmark’s Western Store where the Beatles assembled their trademark Hamburg look: cowboy boots, drainpipe jeans and Gene Vincent-style leather jackets. You can still go and get yourself kitted out in Beatles clobber at Paul’s store at Hundertmark 9. Then head for Wohlwillstrasse 22 and re-create the publicity shot taken by local snapper Jürgen Vollmer, who became a fast friend of the band, in 1960. John Lennon posed in the doorway of Jäger-Passage 1 as three blurry figures walked past him in the foreground. Those figures are McCartney, Harrison and Sutcliffe. The photograph was unearthed years later and became the iconic front cover of Lennon’s 1975 Rock ‘n’ Roll album.
When The Beatles returned to Hamburg in April1962 for their residency at the Star Club they were broken the news of bass player Stu Sutcliffe’s tragic premature death from an aneurysm. By the time of their second stint in November, Ringo Starr had become the group’s drummer, and the, now officially, Fab Four were big enough to warrant actual hotel rooms; first at the Germania (Detlev-Bremer-Strasse 8) and then at the Pacific (Neuer Pferdemarkt 30). Both hotels are still running and are a short stroll away from Heiligengeistfeld (Holy Ghost Field) where Astrid Kircherr, Sutcliffe’s German girlfriend, took the famous fairground photos at the Hamburger Dom that launched the new image she’d inspired them to adopt: collarless jackets and mop top haircuts.

John Lennon once bought a pig here, christened it Bruno after his boss at the Kaiserkeller, and chased it round the market causing such a commotion that someone called the cops. This time they weren’t arrested, or deported, but The Beatles’ love affair with Hamburg was in its final year anyway. They got back to where they once belonged, Liverpool, and recorded their first single, “Love Me Do.” The rest is history.

Going over some Notes that I made in Jungs’s Kundalini Book awhile ago, it becomes more apparent that what I Experience and what they describe from “original texts” is d same Problem that I have between Mysticism of Christianity based on Experiential Reality n d Religion of Christianity based on Texts. St John d Gospel talks about “In the beginning was the Word” (Jn. 1:1) but in my Experience “In d Beginning was d Experience”. I Celebrated d Holy Day of All-Hallow-Eve at DMMDI last Sunday at NEUTRAL. DJ DARKNESS VISIBLE brilliantly brought back to life an assortment of Dead Talent w of course an accent on his Specialty, d Gothic Genre. Probably most “Goths” at Neutral where unaware but this Night was not only in it’s Homage to d Dead Authentic but also in it’s Timing. In Essence All-Hallow-Eve is one of d Holy Days that d Indigenous People of Northern Europe celebrated on d Eve of a Full Moon. Before Judeo-Christian Colonialization, before SUN DAYS, there was Full MOON NIGHTS that People of Northern Europe used for their Holy Days. D best Example is d Fertility Rite of what we know as Easter. Easter is calculated as d first Sunday after d first Full Moon after d Vernal Equinox. All-Hallow Eve was probably determined by being d First Full Moon after d Fields n Live Stock had been Harvested for d Winter. This was a Celebration of Death sustaining Life. In my Experience bringing more Energy up to d ODING’S EYE (Third Eye) through PRANAYAMA (Breath Control) can be very beneficial but more likely cause Energy Problems. In d case of let’s say an Anxiety Attack using PranaYama to focus on Oding’s Eye n exhaling into d Universe can relieve d Attack by giving it Direction n Purpose but in my Opinion it is better to bring yourself into a State of NO-THOUGHT of NO-THING-NESS. If U can not put YourSelf in that Meditative State then I would use a Grounding Meditation. A Grounding Meditation that I like is putting my Feet in Shoreline Sand which is just beneath d Water of an Ocean or Lake n then use PranaYama to bring Breath n hence ‘Negative’ Energy down through to d Center of d Souls of my Feet n out into d Ocean-Earth-Universe. (Standing or Laying in d Bath Tub can be used as a Substitute) When I breath in I think of ‘Positive’ Energy coming from d Universe-Earth-Ocean-Feet n slowly Permeating through out My whole Body. If U have not mastered d Rudolf Meditation then U can think of YourSelf as some Primeval Plant growing out of d Water being ‘rocked’ back n forth by a light Breeze coming off d Waves.

Here is my latest poem published in HUNTERGATHERESS JOURNAL : VOLUME 2, 2009. The initial writing of "Valkyrie's Troth" was written under the Stars completely by Memory instead of paper or Computer. I wanted to capture some of that old Troubadour feeling which I speculate was composed for and inspired by Blood Memory. (Odin's Raven Mumin in the above Poem means Memory.) I did not realize it until later but it also incorporated some of the Anglo-Saxon Alliteration where "initial alliteration," the repetition of sounds at the beginnings of words or syllables was used.To really appreciated this Poem needs to be belted out on a Stage or around a campfire.

I miss spending time with you. Your POV of reality is always refreshing and in some ways grounding. Don't worry that you rant. This is normal for someone who is seeing more than the average person who is not immersed in the "they"* world.

The problem is possession, the state when we are being hypnotized by someone or something. This some THING, THIS SEIEND* can be so called “real”, unreal, paranoiac, fantasy ‘the truth’ etc. but they are all just Matrixes that limit us if we can not step out of them. Chess is a Matrix of Possibilities. I spent periods of my life where nothing else existed. It helped me deal with the “they” world by giving me a refuge to heal. Eventually I had to step out of the Chess Matrix and deal with the “they” Matrix. To say that the Chess Matrix is less real than the ‘they’ Matrix is missing the point. I can play chess whenever I want and I can play the ‘they’ Matrix when NEEDED. It is the skill through spiritual discipline to play in whatever sandbox that allows you to unfold to your true spiritual destiny. Carl Jung found himself buying and being obsessed with Alchemy Books. He asked: 'Where these just medieval rants that purported to find mystical recipes that could change lead into gold or change gross matter into the elixir of life?' The Alchemy Matrix had possessed Jung. When he was given the key to Alchemy by Richard Wilhelm in the book ‘THE SECRET OF THE GOLDEN FLOWER’ the obsession only increased but the possession decreased. He was becoming more aware, more conscious and this put him on a higher level of consciousness that allowed him to exorcise the possession with his new found genius. To say possession is always wrong of course depends if it is part of your spiritual unfolding or enslavement. Jung kept himself sane through his spiritual discipline of Depth Psychology and in troth with the process of awakening. Jung called this the individuation process and some like Abraham Maslow have called it Self-Actualizing. The alchemist could of called it working on their Magnum Opus. The Hindu’s call it Yoga, the Chinese call it the Tao, New Agers call it Enlightenment. People who hold Troth with AbenLand call it God, Gott, Goth, Gote, Xot, etc. (X=G in Xot Language) In this Xoting, this quickening, we come to know we are more than any one matrix or combination of matrixes we are the ground of these matrixes that surpassed all restrictions of time and space. Unfortunately Judeo-Christianity has high jacked these sacred words and bastardized them to such extend we are hostile and alien to them.

Each matrix is a sand box and we are children destined for endless play. When young wolves play are they just playing or are they embracing their true nature. Friend do not be afraid to play! - just develop the discipline so that you can remember which sandbox you are in.
